Mission Statement
Fostering With a Purpose (FWP) exists to support the ones who are doing the supporting — the foster parents, kinship caregivers, and guardians who open their doors and their hearts. So many caregivers are serving faithfully in silence — unseen, undervalued, and overwhelmed. We created FWP to make sure you have a place too. Our mission is to uplift, teach, and walk beside caregivers as they navigate the joys, the challenges, and the emotional weight of loving children who have lived through disruption and trauma. We provide real tools for real homes — structure, patience, communication skills, healing-centered approaches, and everyday survival strategies — because love needs guidance and homes need support. We are a safe place to talk, vent, cry, relearn, laugh, and be encouraged. We believe you deserve to be supported while you are supporting others. Because fostering isn’t just about giving a child a place to sleep — It’s about giving them a place to belong, while still protecting your own heart.
Vision Statement
We envision a strong, connected, and compassionate community of foster parents who are equipped, encouraged, and never left to carry the emotional load alone. A place where caregivers can speak honestly without judgment, receive wisdom without shame, and find comfort without having to pretend to be “strong” all the time. Our vision is to transform how fostering feels — from isolated and exhausting, to guided, supported, and surrounded with love. We see homes where healing is nurtured, family identity is built, and children experience stability, dignity, and hope. And we see caregivers who are restored, replenished, and strengthened in mind, spirit, and heart. We are shaping homes with wisdom. We are building families with purpose. We are loving children back to wholeness — together.
